Sherie has an undergrad in Sociology, and a Masters in Marriage Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. In 2005 she took a decade off from practicing therapy to raise her family, cure her chronic illness, and soak in Boston and D.C. living. During that time she moved into therapeutic education, lecturing across the country, and working with people across the world. She developed online courses, wrote a therapy book, and has consulted on radio, podcasts, for a church website, and books. Sherie loves helping clients to find healing and balance, nurture meaningful relationships with self and others, and discover and pursue their passions. She is currently one of the only therapists in Utah certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is a therapeutic process designed to release trauma and other patterns that no longer serve clients-usually within 1-4 sessions.
Sherie specializes in:
- Trauma (including Betrayal Trauma)
- Sexual Addictions and Compulsions
- Sex Therapy
- Family and Couples Therapy
- Helping Parents Teach Healthy Sexuality
- Chronic Illness Issues
- Women’s Issues
- Depression & Anxiety
Sherie pursues her own passions daily through her work, family, and individually: She teaches her 4 children important life skills like piano, family dance parties, and marshmallow wars. She has deep discussions and laughs with her husband over sushi, Cafe Rio, or Rawtopia. She is a licensed Zumba instructor, does triathlons, embraces holistic wellness philosophies, hikes, and watches her boys (and the Patriots) play football.
