Your family is so important to you that when things aren’t going well it really hurts. You might feel frustrated. You might feel alone. You might even feel fear for the future of your family relationships. You long for understanding and empathy from your spouse. You strive for a close connection and open communication with your children. You worry about behaviors in your children and whether your parenting may be adding to their problems. Sometimes you just need a little help to figure these things out.
I help families heal. I have years of experience working with children and adolescents, parents, women, and couples. I move fluidly between talk therapy, play therapy, and expressive arts to keep our work interesting. Therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy. Sometimes humor and creativity are the right medicine.
I have specialized training in marriage therapy, family therapy, and play therapy. This uniquely sets me apart to work with the whole family. You can call me for a brief phone consultation or you can even schedule online.

Lisa and her husband, Calvin have six children, four sons-in-law, and four adorable granddaughters. When they were raising their kids in Oregon, their family enjoyed camping; reading out loud; attending their children’s concerts, plays, and sporting events; and eating family dinner together. Now that she is on the north side of fifty, Lisa finds she enjoys puttering in her garden and reading more; camping and cooking dinnerless.
