Meet the Therapist

Lisa Bishop, MS., LMFT

Lisa studied Human Development at Warner Pacific College as an undergrad and graduated from Brigham Young University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. One of her personal quests has been to find theories and methods that are effective in her therapy practice, are supported by research, and fit well with her LDS beliefs. Lisa believes that therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy. Sometimes humor and fun is the best medicine.

Lisa specializes in:

  • Family Therapy
  • Marriage Therapy
  • Parenting Training
  • Children and Adolescents
  • Play Therapy
  • Expressive Arts Therapy

Lisa and her husband, Calvin have six children, four sons-in-law, and three adorable granddaughters. When they were raising their kids in Oregon, their family enjoyed camping; reading out loud; attending their children’s concerts, plays and sporting events; and eating family dinner together. Now that she is on the north side of fifty, Lisa finds she enjoys puttering in her garden and reading more; camping and cooking dinner less.
